The best time of the year is near – winter. Once you feel that cold breeze, you have to make sure all your winter stuff are already prepared. And oh, one more thing –make sure your winter skin care products are prepared too!
However, no matter how you prepare if you keep doing the same mistakes for your skin, you’ll never attain best results.
Winter Skin Care Do’s & Don’t
Hot Showers
Isn’t it lovely to take a long, hot shower especially on winter? Well, yes, it’s one of the things that you’d love to do during this season, though you’re not supposed to. Make sure that during the cool season, you only take shorter showers and use lukewarm water so that your skin won’t lose essential oils. Experts also recommend using an unscented moisturizing soap with a washcloth. It’s not advisable to use loofah, buff puff or even deodorant soaps.
Toner
This kind of beauty product plays a vital role for face care. It isn’t advisable to overwhelm your skin with toner during the cold season, though it is a good way to refresh your skin during hot weather. Whenever you use toner, it can strip off natural facial oil and as a result, it will produce more oil and acne. Even more, if you use alcohol-based toners, this can dry your skin, so you should avoid these kinds of toners.
Moisturizer
You want to have healthy skin all year-round? Then don’t forget to moisturize. Moisturizing becomes more critical in the winter season, so it is best that you use moisturizers during the cold season. Cuticles, fingertips, heels, toes, elbows and neck require more attention during the winter, so don’t neglect to forget these parts. Facial moisturizers should be oil-free but still hydrating, while body moisturizers usually have to be mineral oil based that contain humectants, which can draw in moisture to your skin.
