Do you want to wake up one morning seeing your skin dull? Don’t let it get to that point. Make sure you make time and exert effort to make your skin look good. No, scratch that, sometimes making your skin doesn’t need a lot of effort – all you have to do the right skin care practice.
Here are some tips to get a better, younger- looking and healthy skin:
Lips
Yes, if your lips aren’t healthy anymore, you’ll definitely see it. Dry, chapped lips are common symptoms of unhealthy lips. To remove stubborn flakes, dip a damp toothbrush in baking soda and gently massage it over your dry lips. Rinse after and pat dry, and treat with a balm that is infused with lanolin, an ingredient that draws in moisture. Remember the three golden rules to avoid chapped lips: Avoid licking lips, use conditioning lip balms and glosses and of course, drink at least eight glasses of water daily.
Legs
Wouldn’t it be lovely to have soft legs on your skin? Go ahead and try this do it yourself scrub: mix ½ cups white sugar with ½ cups olive oil. Sit in a warm bath for a while before rubbing a handful of scrub all over your skin and rinse after. When taking a shower, it is best that you use a cream-based cleanser that contains hydrating petrolatum, then apply a lotion that contains glycerin afterwards.
Feet
Don’t you hate the feeling of thick skin on your heels? Well, you can remove this by exfoliating and rubbing an alpha hydroxyl acid cream to remove rough spots. To prevent your heels from getting thick, apply a cream with glycolic acid which helps break down the outer layer of your skin.
Arms
Most skin care reviews would feature articles about keratosis pilaris or the pimplelike bumps on your triceps. If you’re one of those people who have this, you can use a body wash that contains beta hydroxyl acid (BHA) such as salicylic acid to clear those bumps up.
